I’ve had fuckyoucanada as a username for a surprisingly long time. I set it up during the Winter Olympics several years ago and it sort of just stayed? It was funny, Canadian friends thought it was funny, so it stayed. It was simply a fun little rivalry username that I grew fond of.

I’m from the US and my country is currently imploding. Trump is not who I voted for, nor did I ever want to see him in office again. I’m scared my username may convey a certain attitude in this current political climate that I don’t hold. His entire regime is just fascism.

Having seen the current tariff war? Is that what we’re calling it? Going on in North America, I can’t keep my username what it is. I hope one day I can go back to it, but with the US going in the direction it is; I don’t even know if I’ll have access to anything in the coming years.
